On July 17, 2009 Mike Rowe and his film crew visited a factory on the island of Kauai, Hawaii to shoot an episode of the television show "Dirty Jobs". That factory is home of the World Famous Original Red Dirt Shirt. Mike learned how to dye t-shirts naturally using only the pure Red Dirt of the island. Mike had been looking for a line of T-shirts to call his own and found it in the Red Dirt products.
